Netherlands

Netherlands is a low lying territory with one third of the country at or below the sea level and thereby needs to be protected from flood by dykes and sea walls. It is small in size but big in events and activities. It has a history of great painters. It is the birth place of great artist’s like Vincent Van Gogh and Piet Mondriaan. Food processing, chemicals, petroleum refining, electrical and electronic machinery, agriculture (known for its plants and cut flowers) are some of the well known activities in Holland. The busiest port in Europe, Rotterdam is located here. The specialty of the Dutch is raw herring, smoked eel and pea soup, variety of cheese. The local, national, international film makers and artists can be seen here on Tulipanes, Latino art and film festival. The downtown streets and sideways are dried in winter due to snow melt system. Shopping in Holland Victorian should not be missed
